IN THE BEGINING

Traditionally known as "Your Neighbourhood Pizzeria", Pizza Del Forno was founded by Carlos De Gouveia in the year 2000. With his many years of experience and knowledge in the pizza industry, and his immense passion for traditional pizzas he started the first unique, rich Italian sit down pizzeria in the group. From the success of this first outlet he decided to franchise his concept, and opened two more stores consecutively, gladly making Pizza Del Forno the preferred neighbourhood pizzeria.

Since then Pizza Del Forno has expanded and the concept grown to make us the now preferred "Neighbourhood Pizzeria and Coffee Bar" reaching many more of our valued patrons, with a wider range of our delicious meals.

STARTING AT THE BASE

Pizza Del Forno Franchising offers each new franchisee a full turnkey operation with back up and support. Once the market in a suitable area has been established and the site assessed, then lease and site negotiations, store development and employee selection begins.

Full ongoing training for the staff is a vital issue that Pizza Del Forno concentrates on, to help build each franchisees team to be successful unit.

Pizza Del Forno carefully identifies and selects the best site for the business. These sites require 150-400m² with an outside deck of 50m². High profile sites with good visibility and accessibility are highly sought, as this is critical to the success of the business. A good selection of evening traders in close vicinity, such as late night pharmacies, food stores and retail outlets, are critical to he success of the outlet.

Careful analysis of the area in terms of demographics, competition, visibility etc. will enable us to make an accurate assessment as to whether the site will meet the requirements of a suitable location for a Del Forno outlet.

STORE SET UP AND OPENING OF STORE

Project management of a new store from shop fitting and equipment to signage, are monitored by the franchise company. This ensures that the franchisee is presented with a complete turnkey operation and full operational assistance is provided throughout the opening and hand-holding process.

TRAINING

Training is one of the cornerstones of the Del Forno brand. All prospective franchisees are required to attend a training course which comprises of both theoretical and practical training. This will cover areas such as customer service, menu training, business skills, financial management and much much more. On-going training is always readily available from our operational staff.
